Wyrdhallow! Time to get new boards!

Hello everybody from me and from the Monkey, welcome back!

A new Warhammer Underworlds season is coming soon and we will have a lot of new things!

Magic will be central in the new season, and there will be some new rules like Stun, BargeHex, and Salvage, and we will know soon what do they mean!

Talking about the warbands, a new Tzeentch warband is very pleased, while we would have preferred some new Seraphon instead of another Stormcast warband, but we hope they will be funny anyway.

Today we will talk about the new Wyrdhallow’s boards: Gamesworkshop already showed 2 of them and, thanks to the wonderful graphic support of WathLab, we recreated them for you! Let’s see them

Wyrdhallow is here!

Let’s start with the right one!

Deadly Morass (waiting for official name)

Talking about the art, Monkey and I don’t particularly like the color choice of these new boards, and also the drawings seem something we already saw in Gnarlwood’s boards unfortunately.
Deadly Morass seems a quite specular, aggressive board, perfect for aggro players, and it can be given to your opponent to be oriented when you have 3 objectives.
Hold objectives players: good news, this board is a V-Delta board (to know about V and Delta boards and tips of positioning read this article serie!), so it may allows you to have a good objective placement when you look for 3 objectives. Unfortunately this board have many starting hexes in first lines, so it may be a dangerous choice if you have a large warband.
Aggro players: since it provides 3 or 4 starting hex in the first two lines (depending on the orientation), this board is a perfect choice when you have 3 objecvites. Be careful though, those lethal can be a trap against fast warbands that may use them to deal you some extra damage!

The second board we see is the left one of the picture above

The Fuzzy Trail (waiting for official name)

This second board art is very similar to the first one, and we don’t like it so much sadly.
A very pleased new thing of this board is the presence of a printed Stagger hex, something that missed last season and we totally love. We like this board, because it has well distributed starting hexes and it’s not very different in any orientation your opponent pick, so it may be good when you have 3 objectives.
Hold Objectives players: This board is a Delta board only if it is oriented in one way, so it may not be a perfect choice if you need to control 3 objectives. On the other side, this board has 3 starting hexes in the middle line, a rarity and a real nice thing since it provides your formation to be always well equilibrated.
Aggro players: This board may not be an ideal choice if you have to be heavily invasive, but can be nice if you have not many fighters to send in your opponent’s territory.

So this is all for today, we hope to have the other side of these boards soon so we can update this article, meanwhile, enjoy the magic of Wyrdhallow!
